that's correct. there is an interview in which Rob Halford discusses his lyric writing. Providing an example of his style, he says that "Tyrant" is a song about a tyrant that expresses his antipathy for tyranny and despotism, but allows the listener to fill in the blanks and create in his or her own mind a scene, plot, story, picture, or what have you. |

This song must be referring to the late bassist, Roger Patterson, of the Floridian technical death metal band Atheist. Kelly Shaefer is also the name of the band's guitarist/vocalist. Roger Patterson died in a car crash. |
