this song speaks to me because it accurately explains a relationship I have with a girl I love. We have a long history together, and we've been there for each other often. My dream is for us to be together, and I'm just waiting for her to see things the same way I do. We've danced around it for years, but nothing has come of it, and it's frustrating because I know she loves me, just not in the same way I love her. |

To me it means that people put too much faith into what they are supposed to do/be and not what they want to do/be. |
