In my opinion I don't think this song is relating completely to God. "I'm a coward, not a fighter Disguised as a lover in disguise For so long now, you've held me down You held me, you held me down You held me down, you held me down for so long But it's not gonna last Cause I can see right through your beautiful lies" Every time I hear this part it gives me shivers. Throughout the song the guy is pissed knowing that he has been deceived and he wants revenge and he knows he will get it..but that verse is the little part of him that wishes he hadn't have been hurt, his insecurities showing through just a bit but as the song goes on he puts what he really wants aside and remains pissed haha |
