| Hmm. Im not sure if the lyrics are right or wrong. But when i hear the chorus. i think of.. When your laid to rest, your not really laid to rest, you go to heaven. So your in heavin, literally watching humanity destroy itself, or as they put it the sky falling on them. Thats my take on it. and throughout maybe he sings of his life and how he saw it slowly turn grey. | |

hmm..one of my favorite songs.. I believe this is what the song means though.. (lines 1-6) Talks about a child he and his wife/ girlfriend are having (lines 7-12) asks himself and his wife/ girlfriend if they really wanted this to happen and if they can manage it (lines 13-16) hes telling his unborn child that he will do anything for it and will love it with all his heart (lines 17-18) **im not so sure but** i think..he trys to ease himself by saying that he can handle this future (lines 19-23) he says to his wife/ girlfriend to take his hand, then he tells his wife/girlfriend to take their childs hand because he might not be around when its born, but he will come home.and thats my father he might be talking as if he is his child thinking thats my father, i know he will come home once again **OR** lines 19-23 could be religious like mentioned above. with the whole rise thing and father thing. but thats my whole take on it. :D |
