pink steam is easily my favourite sonic youth song~ the first few notes that thurston plays are so delicate..then it all grows into something unexplainable. Open up your arms to me, girl Let me feel your wild heart beat, girl Sweet lips, flowers and cream Deep in love, surrender pink steam seems to be about the relationship before the woman in the song became a mother.. like its describing how the couple were when they were younger.. the guy is trying to convince her to open up to him. then it changes to present tence where he's now trying to convince his daughter that he still loves his wife.. i dunno >__< but other than that...(if there were no vocals throughout the entire song) it sounds like sex in the form of music~ i wish i knew what pink steam was.. or if its a reference to someone.. |
