God how I love this song, the chorus is so catchy, it's been stuck in my head from the first listen. I think it's about a guy who realises that his girlfriend has gotten out of hand with drinking and drugs; 'you'll carry on until the day that you drop'. She doesn't know her limits and he tells her how her drinking and drug taking is effecting her; 'Dark rims around your eyes, are fashionable until somebody dies'. |

I really like this song, i seen them at oxegen and this was one of their best songs, but the whole set was classic, the friend i was with wasn't a big Blur fan and when this song came on he asked "what does this song go like?" i replied "you only need to know two words for this song-Tracy Jacks":D I think its simply about someone whos had too much of a boring and mundane life and they don't care what they do anymore. |
