Wow, I had the same suspicion here, this "I" being in the point of view of Jesus. And "there is no them, there's only us", I think about there being only us, humanity, as God created us to be equal and the same, in his image. The "I won't be me when you see me again." find fascinating, and it relates to Jesus too. He died on the cross as a lamb, but in his second coming he'll be like a lion, a different kind of Jesus. "A body and a soul You don't see me but you will I am not invisible I am here" I think about Jesus being God in the 'flesh' if you get me, and alive in the kingdom. 'You don't see me, but you will' Jesus being physically not here, but his second coming is near. I really like your intrepetation about the 'frozen time' part, ookgirl. P.S: I'm not a bible expert in any way, but I try to learn when I have time. This song just woke me up all of a sudden. |

| It seems some people get upset or fedup with the thought of this and a few other U2 songs being about drug addiction. Why? For me as a U2 fan it is simply great for Bono to write about deep serious matters. It's not always have to be about flowers! | |
