he actually wrote this song in memory of a homeless man he and his parents took in one day for Christmas dinner. He explained all of this at a concert. I think he feels overwhelmed by all of the poverty and stuff. Its basically all through the song. "I can't help but wonder why nobody bats an eye." No one notices the people who are helpless. No one cares for them. Its encouraging to me to care for others |

This song is about looking into other people's heart and relating and supporting them. Its about love, Godly love. He wants to see them the way God does. He wants to see them with compassion and care. We all need to be that way. |

Great song, beautifully written because it was written by TobyMac..not much more to say on that point. :)
This song is so encouraging. It says that to find peace we have to find it here where we are every day. It also kind of reminds me of the coming of the Savior. Talking about love falling to the Earth and the hope in the distance, because isn't that every Christians hope? The coming of Jesus Christ? It's mine..
I do agree with Isabelle those three lines are beautiful and encouraging. |
