Bro iv been following this entire conversation and heres a few points iv got for ya: first of all if ur gona say that the Qu'ran condones violence than u also hav to look into the old testament of the Bible in books such as Joshua, in which God tells the Israelites to wage war upon peoples such as the Amorites and the Caananites, in these early books of the Old Testament, there r countless examples of God encouraging violence. im not saying that Christianity condones violence or that the God u believ in does, im just saying that u cant use that argument against the Qu'ran when it applies to your own holy book. To say that Islam is an evil religion just becus of small minority of extremists, is completly and utterly intolerant. Every religion has its fanatics who interpret certain aspects of the belief to literally. Groups such as the KKK claim to follow the Bible and be Christian, yet that is not wat the vast majority of Christians believ in, and its the same for Islamic extremists who make up a minority of thier religion. and u had also previously stated that atheists just do whatever the fuck they want, which is a complete generalization. Some athiests just like some people who claim to be Christian, run around doing watever they please, but that dooesnt mean every atheist does, there r plenty of ppl who dont need the fear of a god and eternal torment to inspire them to do good in the world I dont hav any problem with religion or anyones beliefs, i think that religion, though it has also had plenty of negative affects, has had just as many positive affects on the world. Wat angers me is wen ppl like u look down upon others beliefs that differ from urs, who r u to say wats rly the right thing to believ in? as long as my belief isnt harming u then y do u need to critisize? I dont understand y us human beings hav such a problem with tolerance |
