| Men at Work – People Just Love To Play With Words Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| You are clever and introspective. For any change to occur, we must first set it in motion. Love cannot be bought or sold. Love is free, though it does take a toll. Think positive sister, stagnancy breeds negativity. Stir it up. I love your words. | |

| Terminal Choice – Human Hunter Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Only the weak and tired pick on the weak and tired. Maybe it makes them feel strong. Ignore these people, they are not even worth your time. If you like the way you look, that is all that matters. To hell with all the haters. A true friend will like you for you. | |
| The Clash – Robber Dub Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| You are also young, and you are growing up, and growing up is sometimes painful and emotional. But sometimes it is amazing. One day you will be able to laugh about all the bad stuff that has happened. And one day you will not only know what you are, but who you are as well. :) | |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – 100 Suns Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think it had to have begun somewhere, it had to have been birthed somehow. Therefor, I believe in the start. I think that the beginning of one is the end of another. Change divides the two. Therefor I believe in the end. I think that Earth is what my body is made of, I can walk on it, eat it, and see it's glory. Therefor, I belive in the Earth. I think that stars are truly burning, however far away, they give light, just like the Sun that is resposible for giving us life. Therefor, I believe in the stars. I think the day is all we have in this life. Every day. The half of the rotation during which we face the great Sun. The day is warmth and light and color. Therefor, I believe in the day. I think the dark hides and conceals everything that the day shows and reveals. The dark plays tricks on my mind and seemingly steals my sight. Therefor, I believe in the dark. The beating of my heart is nothing but the rhythm of my living song among all other things around and outside of me. And sure as hell I believe in it. I don't know about the hundred suns thing, so I won't comment. But One sun is all I know. Two, counting myself. All I can say now is that I do believe in Sin, and I do believe in God. Sin is to love yourself more than all. God is to love all more than yourself. Ignorance is bliss, understanding is peace. War is, has been, and will be a real and true idea. Men have died within it. Therefor, I believe in the existence of war, at least. The cause is debatable. And peace, man, I understand the perfection of the idea of peace. And I pray it might one day come to be real, and not just something beautiful to think. I do believe in peace. I wish for peace among people, and not just within ourselves in certain, fleeting moments. To not believe in it is hopeless and as though you have given up. And I think that I thank God that I truly know who I am. And I thank God that I am who I am, nobody else. I thank God for my life, for I sure as hell didn't make my life, I'm just doing the best I can with it. I thank God. And to believe in nothing is the same thing as to believe in everything. And I do not believe in everything. Only some things. Certain things. For some are good, and some are bad. Just as some are low and some are high. You cannot hold both, even with your two hands. You must old onto one, and let the other go. This song just kind of confused me, and I just wonder why any one would not believe in anything. |

| Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's God complex, you dolt. I know this was 4 years ago, but... just a reminder of how we were all stupid 4 years ago. ;) This song is still great though. songs are allways great. | |
| Rush – Mission Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
First thing, the drums in the second verse own my soul. Second thing, the guitar solo at the end is perfect. We each pay a fabulous price for our visions of paradise. I love this song. |
|
| Panic! at the Disco – New Perspective Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song is too catchy. Like Brandon's got a flow. This song is better than all of pretty odd put together. Except northern downpour. That's the best panic song ever. And that's a fact. Yeah. | |
| Paramore – All I Wanted Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Damn. The part where she just wails by herself is crazy. I just listened to this whole album for the first time, and I'm impressed. Paramore's still got it. But there are just other bands that I want to listen to right now. But respect to Paramore. Peace. All we know is falling is still my fav though. There's no replacement for places. |
|
| Paramore – Misguided Ghosts Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is my favorite song off this album. Fsho. Beautiful guitars. Pretty voice. And I can actually relate like heavy to her words. I'm one of those ghosts too. | |
| Paramore – Where the Lines Overlap Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I would sing this song back to her. But I think everyone is just as lucky as her. and them. | |
| Paramore – Looking Up Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I like this one too. Paramore just has so much energy in all their music. Kids need something to sing along with. I'm glad they didn't break up too. | |
| Paramore – Feeling Sorry Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This one reminds me of old Used. Only nicer and brighter. Bert could scream the sh out of this song. | |
| Paramore – The Only Exception Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I wish Haley would sing this song to me. I would melt for her. A couple years ago at warped in Denver there was a huge rain storm and they had to stop all the bands and everyone was hiding out under the overpass. I remember I saw Haley running through the rain and I chased her for a couple seconds before giving up because even if I caught her, what could I do. She's so short. And this song is totally Yellow. Same chord progression he uses at the end of it. C to G minor is very pretty. | |
| Paramore – Turn It Off Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This one has tinges of Cute is what we aim for. And a shadow of Third eye blind and other 90's shtuff. Her voice is orgasmic. Pretty guitars. Haley is one cunning vixen of a lyricist. I'm likin this album so far. | |
| Paramore – Brick by Boring Brick Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This one reminds me of Taking Back Sunday. Clever lyrics. I like it. THE KEYS TO THE CASTLE! ARE RIGHT WHERE YOU LEFT THEM! |
|
| Paramore – Careful Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I just found this album on my itunes. Didn't even know paramore had a new album out. But anyway, there is a fierce blizzard outside right now, seriously like 8 foot drifts, so I'm just gonna listen to this whole album and write some comments. I've been a casual fan of Haley and Paramore since All we know is falling, seen them a couple times, but I would say I've kinda grown out of them through the passage of time. This song is pretty good though. Her voice is just sexy and catchy. Reminds me of Fall Out Boy back in the day. Fueled by ramen will always hold a place in my heart. That place I found as a child. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Porcelain Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I feel like I can't say anything that hasn't been said already, but John Frusciante is one of the best harmony singers in the universe. So gorgeous and unique. Perfectly complementary to an already beautiful melody. And i love how slow the bass and drums are. I want to listen to this song trippin. Goot song. | |
| Further Seems Forever – Already Gone Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The guitar in this song is genius. And the guy's voice is amazing. I'm glad I happened upon this band way back in the day... | |
| The Hush Sound – That's Okay Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is just a beautiful and damn sad song. I'm listening to it right now. It makes me think of this girl I know. I loved her and she loved me once upon another time, since then things have grown and changed as things inexorably do. But if somebody really loved her, they'd tell her by now. I've said it, sure, I mean it most of the time. But even I have to turn away sometimes. I know she felt safe at home, that's when we were in love. As kids. Her brother's laughter paints the air of California now, and her mother's face is getting older and sadder. No one can find their way back to their childhood home. It's sad, but must be so. It's okay. You know they'll always say your name once in awhile, and they'll think it even more. You know it's okay. The next verse is my favorite. I feel like I played a big part in making her so cautious and callow... But ever boundlessly beautiful is she. Until someone loves you, I'll keep you safe, but like them, I will give you away. I'll be there till someone else comes along, then I'll go... I guess it all boils down to that quotable phrase, if you love something, you give it away... (thankyouconor) The song's over now. It's one of those songs you wish just didn't end. Bell Bottom Blues is another one of those songs. As is Little Wing, and What I Got. But dammit I love this song and it makes me feel things I can't even express to you people out there in cyber space and time. Feelings are ineffable, I don't care what anybody says. It makes me think that the true meaning of a song is secondary to the unique meaning that each individual person gathers from the combined phrases, rhythms, tones and timbres. Every song touches the soul before it touches the mind. Sound is the wave before meaning. The wave that crashes as just as a shhhhhhhhh... You listen before you think. This song is so easy to feel. Gretchen's voice just takes a hold of me. I love this song and that girl though. |
|
| My Morning Jacket – Thank You Too! Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I saw God in the girl this song makes me think of. | |
| My Morning Jacket – Sec Walkin' Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I saw this song more literally. I pictured him walking down a city street at night seeing the stop lights go from red to green. I love the "first light I see tonight" play on it. And how he sings "ooh yeah." The sparkly hypnotizing eyes are good things to behold, people you'd want to meet, and the demon eyes are bad. People you wouldn't. But really, it doesn't matter exactly what this song is about. Because it's beautiful and time ceases to exist in the 3 minutes 35 seconds that it plays. |
|
| Weatherbox – Trippin' The Life Fantastic Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Oh, to understand you must spend time alone... I think this part is the core of this song. Mushrooms and acid led me to different conclusions of God and the Universe tho. I love the unique humanity of Weatherbox. Nobody else writes this naked. Beautiful song. But I don't think the devil can talk to you if there is no God. I think God goes infinitely deeper than our "holy books." Tripped out, I saw that all religion does is confuse what God really is. It's all infinity. |
|
| Land of Talk – Death by Fire Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I also still get scared of fate and interstates and death by fire. And the ending of this song is perfection. | |
| The Tallest Man on Earth – The Blizzard's Never Seen the Desert Sands Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this song is about leaving something and finding everything. | |
| The Notwist – Gone Gone Gone Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I definitely think you had to be there to get it. I wasn't, and I don't. Ha but despite the cryptic and mysterious lyrics, this is a damn beautiful song and a perfect end to the album. I will never let you go... That's the line I can understand in itself, in my own way. I love the Notwist. | |
| Park Ave. – All Boy Band Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Along with Damiera, Park Ave. is my favorite band that broke up after just one album. So Amazing. The feelings gone but the album just came out! And even though there is no meaning now, can't stop singing... I feel like this about songs I write. I can relate to this song. Thank God for the seemingly ephemeral glory of Park Avenue. | |
| Jenny Lewis – Sing a Song for Them Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is my favorite Jenny Lewis song. The bass is crazy. And I just love the ideas she comes up with. "To the weekend tweakers, the blonde and the blind..." Brilliant. Everytime you sing, you gotta sing for somebody. Sing a song for them. | |
| The Tallest Man on Earth – Into the Stream Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I love this guy's lyrics. Vivid yet simple symbols. I think the whole song circles around surrendering to the soul of the nature and animal within all we human beings. For it is far more real and romantic and beatuiful than the electric metal illusions of what life and living has become. The coldhardrain, the brightsharpsun, the thunderstrike... Nature shakes us from the dream that is what our hands and minds have created. The nature is greater than all we can make, but it is not greater than we ourselves. It is equal. We are part of the Nature. The Nature is part of we. Sometimes we forget this. Let's (?)come all(?) steal! We will lie and cheat and turn around all their limit signs! Redirect this great old boring road into the depths of a lion's mouth... Just to see if there's something we believe. This is my favorite part. It's rebellion and youthful pride. Our sins are what make us human. Our mistakes separate us from Godmachines. The world is truly rolling down a great old boring road. And humans are pushing it along. Rules and limits and percentages and functions and other illusory crap. It's black and white ideas. A lion's mouth is Red, Orange, and Yell!ow, (Scar)let and dust, the infinite glory and power and fear and beauty. And Rage. And Love if you want to swing it. And we'll reach out and touch that, just to see if there's something really there. Just something. It might disappear as soon as your fingers taste the colors, but as long as you're able to touch something, even if only for a second, you should. Shouldn't you? Well, at least you should sometimes. The dog in every human will drink till the oceans dry. Till the liquid is gone. And when that's gone, where's some more? Our thirst shall never never be ultimately quenched. Life can never be ultimately satified, except by death. And the dog in every human will pull and fight and wrench and yank untill that which binds him/her is broken and shredded. Freedom is an illusion/ideal that we will break and snap and run and gnash to acquire. I hear the last part of this verse as And everyone that he will run down will see his limbs as they grow and people will see if there's something they believe. Freedom to run like wild dogs will make our limbs grow! And how nice it is to grow. This last verse is a little confusing to me. Let us let the weathergirl die. The poor dear. When we killed the sound and when the screen is dark and charged... This makes me think of a TV being turned off. and then this limousine parked outside ready to be thrown in the stream. Strange and beautiful. I'm not totally sure, but I could see the limousine as a symbol of fame and wealth and human capital or something, being driven off a bridge to eternally rest at the bottom of the blibbering stream. but that's just me spitballing. Anyway, such a great song. I didn't expect to write all this ha. Unplug the Machines! Save Infinity! |
|
| Metric – Down Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I always thought it was "the sun is slowly changin' sides, still sorrow in your eyes..." I guess they both make the same sense eh? Such a good song though. I like her falsetto at the end. FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL DOWN! | |
