This song perfectly typifies my life at the moment. The man who, in so many ways, is the love of my life and I have split up for reasons that are almost impossible to define. Our backgrounds and upbringing are so different, poles apart even, that we are continually blind sided by issues which to one party is neither here nor there but monumental to the other and we fight constantly. At the beginning the physical side was enough to override these issues, but now, post honeymoon period the cracks are showing. I would do anything to be with him but unfortunately the things that I need to change - and similarly for him - are so hard wired from our early years that that is impossible. And this song is exactly what I want to say to him. |
