This song makes me cry, haha. It reminds me so much of my first love. I feel in love with an AMAZING boy when I was 15 (he was also 15). His name was Mark and he was my very first love. People say that you can't fall inlove at that age but what we had was REAL. Fall of 2004 was OUR season. It was when we got to know each other, fell in love and lost our virginity to each other. September-December of 2004 was PURE BLISS for the both of us. We were living in a fantsay, I swear. Everything was perfect, like a movie. Whenever I hear of other people that young in love I just laugh..but I believe that we were different. We had something that is too amazing to even explain. I f*cking loved that boy. He had to move across the country 4 months after we started dating and it ripped my heart to shreds. I felt so EMPTY and I fell into a deep depression that lasted about a year & a half. Its been 5 years since then and I STILL think about him every day. I'm over him but I'll just never stop thinking about him. This song is so us... |

This song is AMAZING. Yes, it is about his mom when she was battling cancer. It's means something else to me though. I went through a phase in my life where I was going absolutely INSANE. I had post pardom depression, never left the house and lost all my friends. I began to have cabin fever but I didn't even want to leave the house because I was afraid of the world. This lasted almost a year and thank GOD I'm outta that phase in my life! Everything is wonderful now but this song reminds me of myself back then. "The clock on the wall has been stuck at 3 for days and days/She thinks that happiness is a mat that sits on her dooryway" Genius. When I was younger I hated every single Matchbox 20 song but now that I'm older & understand the meanings..I love almost every one of their songs! So deep... |
