Aerosmith – Movin' Out Lyrics 15 years ago
I was wondering if this was based on a true story, maybe they got kicked out of an apt in Boston or something when they were young punks?

Agreed far and away best they ever did, this and "Mama Kin," "One-Way Street," raw, high-energy rock. Black Crowes tried to recreate years later, couldn't hold a candle. Covered this and "Somebody" in a band after HS (late 70s).

Strawberry, yours makes the most sense of all these posts, esp if Stipe was a debater as you say, wasn't aware ... guess that's in bio?

Exhuming McCarthy was about Stipe's view that the 1980s run by the GOP was like the Communist witch hunts redux ... very political, like a few other songs on Document and Life's Rich Pageant

R.E.M. – Losing My Religion Lyrics 16 years ago
Futon is right - it is a southern phrase that means losing it, going nuts, not about religion at all. Forgot where I heard it. Makes sense, they went to school in Athens, GA, so maybe would've heard those types of idioms there.
