sorry about kickign his addiction i meant to put he sees the end coming closer and closer and he sees he has reached rock bottom and how he depends on it and continues to "Violate, Annihilate" himself and how he is now "A loser to my eyes" so he obliterates and exterminates his addiction? and is forced to deal with his dependency sober now? or maybe it was more like he saw how "death magnetic" people in his business have been in the pass and he saw he was heading that same way "Deadly vision Prophecy reveal Death Magnetic" so yeah he decided to not to go out in such a "Desecrating hail of fire" |

I think this song, like many of the songs written by james, can be interpreted in different ways...i think thats what he wants people to do. So keeping that in mind i think that it depends how you want to look at it. none of you guys were probably wrong, it could be about suicide bombers or about a car crash, or maybe it coudl be about him kickign his addiction [see the end in me](i know cliche -.- but w/e) or it could be about his fear of fading away and metallica loosing its place as the famous band that it is [fear thy name extermination]. or maybe it could be about a fear of death...he said it himself the songs in the album deal with death.... peoples fear of death and so on. it just depends how you look at it. |
