The way I see it, it's about a girl, and her friend (who is also a girl) She's lesbian, but hasn't told her friend, because she could lose her. She's crushing on her friend. The boy also likes the friend, and wants her to teach him how to dance (so he could make a good impression at a dance or whatever). She doesn't want to teach him how to dance, because then her friend will be with him, when all she wants is to be with her. |

Alright, I was watching "The Red Dragon" the other day and in the end Hanibal Lector writes a letter to the main character, and in the letter he mentions how the main character has been shot. He writes,(just read it in Anthoney Hopkin's voice. lol) "What a collection of scars you must have! Never forget who gave you the best of them. And be grateful. Our scars have the power to remind us the past was real." I wonder if that is where they got the idea for thoes lyrics. It's a rather old movie, so i am guessing it came out before the song. I dunno. Awesome song btw! |

I found this song so sweet. Super cheesy, but adorable. But then it got to "Build a fort in our mother's room" So maybe it's about siblings? I thought it was about a girl he liked up until that point.. |

I like it when people find not-so-obvious interpritations of the song. It makes it more interesting. Everyone else here says sex or drugs (or both?) When there's something way off the norm, and still fits, I think it's pretty cool that someone can come up with it. So go you :P |

I think this song has different meanings, depending on how you interprit it. Many seem to think it's about sex. Some think it's about drugs (acid particularly) The way I interprit it, it's about this amazing girl, and it's basically describing how she makes him feel. Any way you look at it, it is a good song, and definanlty one for dancing to :P |
