Filter – Jurassitol Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is an angry cry from the younger generations aimed at the older ones. The rich older men focus on making more money without a thought as to what burdens they are placing on the backs of others, including their own children. The issues they cause are passed down to their successors when they die.

Stone Temple Pilots – Even Flow (Pearl Jam cover) Lyrics 15 years ago
I don't know why this was particular page is labeled as a Stone Temple Pilots song, but I have to say I'm surprised to find so many people hating on Pearl Jam...when Ten rocketed to success, Kurt Cobain made the same assumption that some of you have and claimed Pearl Jam were corporate sell-outs taking advantage of the grunge explosion in the early nineties. Cobain himself later took this back and became a good friend of Vedder's. Eddie's situation could be compared to Kurt's early on, neither of them expected the popularity and stardom and neither really wanted it. They didn't want to be the new 'pop' bands of the year, dealing with fans that did not really understand the music who only listened to it because it was 'cool' (look at the lyrics to Corduroy). Rolling Stone magazine once wrote of Pearl Jam: "spent much of the past decade deliberately tearing apart their own fame."

I have never been a big Stone Temple Pilots fan, and with all due respect to you fans, I think that most of their writing is shallow and simplistic (-epsecially- their newer stuff, No. 4 and their new self-titled album) when compared to the work of other grunge bands during the time (Nirvana, Soundgarden). Pearl Jam released Backspacer last year and while I don't prefer it over their 90's stuff I believe that the songwriting is ten times better than STP's.

Also keep in mind that Soundgarden and Alice in Chains appeared in Singles as well. I highly doubt Eddie and the boys were low on cash, they had just finished touring for Ten when the movie was made.

Soundgarden – Mailman Lyrics 16 years ago
While I think you have a very possible meaning there, crazy horse, I don't see how others seeing something different makes them dumbasses.
