I <3 this song. It's so upbeat and happy. As for the meaning, I think it's pretty obvious he's talking about his teeth. |

| Paramore – Brick by Boring Brick Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Whenever I hear this song, I think of it as a more realistic version of Twilight. "She lives in a fairy tale Somewhere too far for us to find Forgotten the taste and smell Of the world that she's left behind It's all about the exposure, the lens, I told her The angles were all wrong now She's ripping wings off of butterflies" The first part is about Bella moving to Forks and how her world is turned upside down "So one day he found her crying Coiled up on the dirty ground Her prince finally came to save her And the rest you can figure out" This next part is when she meets Edward "her prince" "But it was a trick And the clock struck twelve Well, make sure to build your home Brick by boring brick Or the wolf's gonna blow it down" I think this is when it starts to move towards a realistic version of Twilight. Obviously, their relationship can't really work out. It's just a fairytale. The "brick by boring brick" part I think refers to a "normal" (boring) relationship. This part is basically telling Bella to get over Edward because "it was a trick" and to go be in a normal relationship. "Well, you built up a world of magic Because your real life is tragic Yeah, you built up a world of magic" This basically summarizes what Bella has done with her life "Go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle" The chorus describes how Bella is trying to forget Edward and their fairytale relationship and move on (burying the castle) Well anyway, that's just how I interpret it. I've been in love with this song from the first time I heard it. It's absolutely amazing and I just can't wait for the music video. |
