The lyrics "I've been insane well the time is slow. The Pope don't matter when the pawn is your sea, don't you agree?" is from the song "Been Insane" from the same album. And of course there are lyrics from "Your Pussy is Glued to a Building on Fire" in the song too. I haven't figured out if any of the other lyrics are taken from other songs. |

Aside from the more obvious references to other bands, there's also a couple of references to Mike Watt, the bass player from Minutemen, fIREHOSE, and currently of The Stooges. "He'll tell you in a minute about the men he knows" = a reference to Minutemen. And of course, fIREHOUSE is a given. "We take it from the trees and the mighty Watts towers" could also be a reference.
