I think this song is about: When you are battleing addictions and you push away everyone around you who tries to help or shows any interest in your problem, because when you are fucked up they play the bad guy role trying to limit or cut you off, but later you realize they were trying to help. Even though you have hurt the people you must apologize now that you realize you were wrong, so you must make ammends with your family and freinds whether they accept it or not. I think he also realized that even though he had stopped the drugs he is still stealing and sees that maybe the drug wasnt the only problem, and that is what he has become even now that he doesnt use anymore he still has the lifestyle.

This song for years has been one of my favorites. For a fact he points out that Hollywood and mainstream media glamorize the poverty "ghetto" lifestyle this is true, but I dont beleive that there is no other meaning. Its very realistic and coming from the kind of lifestyle that I do it means something to me , why I have no idea but it does. The first time I heard it in years I was smoking a bowl in a parking lot that I frequented and it was very ironic, it reminds me of the dumb times I've had smoking weed, doing lines of coke in that same lot, it makes me think of my loved ones who have been shot, my dad who's a junkie, my pill addiction,its everything. Nobody can imagine all of that up so it must has some truth, who knows how much, but it has some. |

I agree that is about the poser emo kids who cut themselves to mold into society. There really are some people who hurt themselves to feel in control of one aspect of their life and I understand that. Its not always cutting its the same as people throwing things or punching walls etc, but self inflicted but the people who intentionally cut themselves openly to get attention are dumb plain and simple and i believe tha that is what its about. |

Some people are just plain dumb I swear. Its not about fucking drugs you morons, have you ever been in a relationship??? To be perfectly fucking honest I have an addiction, its not herion but its synthetic herioin, pain pills. I am also in a relationship and I can diferrentaite between the actual meaning and what so many dumb people think. Its soley about a relationship, you have your ups and down, you fight back and forth and it seems like no matter what you say it angers the other. I go through it everyday, being addicted to something has a huge stress on a realtionship, it makes your emotions whacked I've fought and fought because of it. But the song is not about his addiction its about a relationship, that is it... maybe his emotions are up and down up and down because of his drug abuse and that causes the change (black and white) addicts have good days they have bad, but so does everyone else. |

Why does antbody need an interpretation of this song I mean honestly. All across America there were riots, they were taking back what they did not have they were sick of being poor and oppressed for so long and the last straws had been pulled(the beating of rodney king), people couldnt take it anymore like they were of less importance than regular society because of their differences wether it be poverty or race. |
