"And everything's good and everything's fine and everything's bitter like sweet things should be, " I was thinking about this part, and I know a lot of their songs don't exactly have any deep segnifigant meanings, they're more like dreams, or abstract art. Anyways To me this phrase means that you're doing something you know isn't easy or enjoyable, but it's the right thing to do so on the inside you know you're doing good. As the example states, sweet things should be bitter. If sweet things were bitter people would eat less sweets because sweets should be eaten less. That was my take on it. In context of the song maybe this phrase is to mean that he's doing what seems difficult and uneasy, but it's for the best because he loves her. Just my take on it :) |
