totally agree with etcetera whatever since its straight from bazans mouth in print. it so obviously mocks the self rightous that have a selfish faith and miss the point of Jesus ministry. time for our faith to be about others and not ourselves by the way "title track", read etcetera's post and wonder are you one of the people david didnt have "the heart to tell"??????? |

i agree with lightblueness the parallel is between politicans and boyfriends but why?? i think it is the unfortunate nature of the world that they both miss the point of the existance both are there to serve but both are just focussed on what they can get another reason life is screwed beautifully written again |

i agree with the prayer context. david bazan is writing a psalm, a lament in the true style of David. He is speaking to God, look at the lyrics again. he is lamenting at his situation (feelings) and his surroundings (fake people) but just like the psalms it comes back to i still want to trust you. peace, be still. thanks david bazan for writing something real |
