| I encourage people to LISTEN to this song, not just the lyrics when I'm exposing friends to Johnny Cash. I believe that this whole song is sarcastic. With each line its as if Cash gets more frustrated by the lyrics he's singing... read with sarcasm, "I find it very, very easy to be true... I find myself alone when each day is through... yes I admit... that I'm a fool for you!" I believe that this is what Cash was feeling when he wrote this song, and it's what I feel every time I hear it. | |
