To me this is a song about a man and woman who are friends and have slept together for the first time. The beginning of the first verse, to me this implies that the female had a boyfriend that is bad to her and she tells her friend. The end of the first verse, is when she realizes what they have done and he is afraid she will be angry. The second verse if about what her boyfriend has done and how she wants things to be. "Lover cover me with your sleep...Let your love light shine...Lover cover me with a good dream...Let your love light shine" if from her point of view, when she finally realizes her friend is the one she wants to be with. That is my interpretation anyway. |
