Jude Conlee – Saint Severus (Don't Leave) Lyrics 15 years ago
Okay first of all I love this song so much it is just brilliant. I love it. SO MUCH. It's filled with lots of emotion. It's beautiful. Yes this is an opinion...ahaaa this is one of my favourite songs of ALL TIME, even!
Hmm...and I shall try to interpret it...it's an interesting song. I know it's got some longing in it, but for what? And who this Saint Severus is...? Brilliant song.

Pink Floyd – See Emily Play Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm not quite sure what this means (at least I have no interpretation of my own) but it makes me rather sad for some reason. It's amazing, 'tis a work of art like any of Syd's music, but it just makes me sad...

Iron Maiden – Charlotte The Harlot Lyrics 16 years ago
And I'll excuse myself! The hint in "Hooks in You" is the beggining, the lyrics state: "I've got the keys to view the number 22" which is referring to 22 Acacia Avenue, where Charlotte lives, thus being along the Charlotte storyline!

Iron Maiden – Hooks In You Lyrics 16 years ago
I think the whole Charlotte the Harlot saga is quite original. I actually like the idea ;) What other band writes songs linked together in a saga about a prostitute? It sort of seems unexpected out of Iron Maiden...but this is a very good song. In fact, I'm listening to it right now. The chorus must be my favourite part, and you always get a great solo out of the Maiden boys (Even if it is Janick Gers and Dave Murray, but they make a good pair...and then when Smith comes back the trio is great!). This song sort of scared me at first, it just reminded me of...something...but anyways I think it's a different song, as is the whole No Prayer for the Dying album, and Iron Maiden did change throughout the years...they started off different and ended different, but I love it all. Great material. Up the irons!

Iron Maiden – 22 Acacia Avenue Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is amazing, as well as the whole album! I love every single song on that album...it's amazing. Even when they put on "Total Eclipse", I love that song too.
This is obviously about Charlotte the Harlot (and songs after this to come) and about how she stops her prostitution...I believe - basically the song, the person telling the story (I imagine it as Bruce always, which makes me have a bit of a laugh!) of Charlotte is telling her it's not worth it to be a prostitute because of the diseases she could get (STDs) and how people would look at her and think low of her...you know...that's the basic overall gist.
Great song...I love it.

And also "Hooks in You" - those are the only four songs. Charlotte the Harlot and 22 Acacia Avenue were the obvious ones, but in From Here to Eternity her name is mentioned and "Hooks in You"...I suppose it is implied, I suppose? I don't remember the one behind that, but it is on the base of Charlotte.

Oh - and not to mention every instrument is amazing, and Bruce's vocal range goes high in this one! I love the vocals. Especially in the part: "I'll take your, lives in my hands..."

Oh man, this song is GREAT. I couldn't explain how great it is! The intro is wonderful, and from there it does this huge crecendo of heaviness! It gets heavier and towards the end begins to fall, just like a story with the rising action, climax and falling action! The end is wonderful, after distortion you get a little acoustics, I believe. Then it sounds like you're not listening to Maiden! The whole song is done wonderfully, not to mention the whole album (I love how it starts off with the '7 Deadly sins' in Moonchild and ends with the same thing in Only the Good Die Young ;)...). Just an amazing song, and the meaning goes along with the rest of the album with the seventh son that reads the future, etc. He tries to warn everyone about a disaster but it is too late...

This is a great song, pretty underrated on the Powerslave albums. Great riff, great everything. Iron Maiden are such amazing musicians it's not even funny. Although I like Clive Burr better as a drummer, Nicko truly outdoes himself before the splashier drumming in Somewhere in Time/Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Wonderful guys, great song!

Def Leppard – Rock Of Ages Lyrics 16 years ago
The jibberish at the beggining doesn't actually mean anything, I believe they said it was nothing but poking fun at the German language, I mean, something connecting to German language.
And the Rock of Ages part - Rock of Ages is an old hymn, and that is what that's all about...also the video.
Other than that, I think the song is just about how Def Leppard will always keep rocking!

Gene Jeanie is a David Bowie song, too. Joe Elliot was a Bowie fan, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong on that o.O
