Oh yeah, and one time I played this song for my friend, and after two verses, she was like, "Not the best song," and I was thinking in my head, you better be damn kidding before I slap that smirk off your face. But my friend is athiest. She's also thirteen, and atheist. Yeah. |

I love this song, it's so amazingly true. The comments on youtube from the vid, they made me want to pull my hair out. I think the real meaning of this song is that many people doubt that God is real, that he really exists, they poke fun, and make jokes, but then he does something to show them he's really out there, and they're not laughing anymore. A lot of people think that this song is an insult to some people who don't believe in God, but I think those people should actually stop thinking about themselves, get out of their own little world, and realize that when Regina wrote this song, she probably wasn't really thinking about what other people were going to think (I'm also sure that she doesn't really care what other people think) about her music. She does it because she loves it, and she's damn good at it. I FREAKING LOVE YOU REGINA! |

Every time I listen to this song, it takes my breath away.
A lot of people can be strong without a lover, or a significant other, but in the end, old or young, we all really do fall apart for love. A lot of people think that there is someone you're supposed to be with, but even if there is, what if one day, that person is gone? Could you not love again? Would that person not want you to love again? I think that - and not to be mean - that when someone loses their love, whether they die, or that person just chooses to leave them, that they're really actually afraid of loving again, so they tell themselves that they loved that person so much that they could never love again. But, the real question is whether you're a coward, and choose to never love again, or whether you're strong, and choose to move on. In the end, you choose.

I heard that she just makes these stories up in her head, so what if in this story in her mind, the lake really is enchanted? What if this "genius" poisoned the lake? What if he is terribly guilty for it, and decides to kill himself in the lake? And Regina is trying to tell him to just hold his breath, and rethink it. Like it's his secret, you know? Just a thought. |
