| The Offspring – Something to Believe In Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I've been thinking the same thing Windu. I'm studying philosphy in my Humanities class and I just noticed how this song is basically about philosophy (which I would define as the critical examination of life). | |
| The Offspring – Mission From God Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
(From an interview about splinter) [D]: It was a song called ‘Mission From God‘. [WD]: But you never did anything with that? [D]: We just didn‘t think it was as good as the other songs and it was kinda‘ like a Blue‘s Brothers reference. We weren‘t seriously religious and so we were debating in the band that it might come across as a religious song. It wasn‘t, though. It was the farthest thing from it. Like in the vain of a ‘Bad Habit‘. The guy in the song is kooky and whacked out. I should re-write that about the Washington sniper now, huh? So that one was left off and we never did anything with it. |

I think you're right ignition. It is shown in the lyrics:"My intentions like this waiting room Only bring to me a fading light" the guy is in a waiting room before being sentanced to death. "Locked up forever inside I look to the stars and ask why Oh if they could just change my dark heart to feel" If he could just teach him to feel love or pain or whatever it is he would not have done the things that he did. |

| The Offspring – Staring At The Sun Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
(From Dexter on song) "Now don‘t get me wrong: I‘ve always said that lyrics aren‘t the most important thing about a song, and the reason I say that is because I don‘t want to be one of those preachy, self-righteous, ‘my-messages-are-so-deep‘ kind of songwriters, ‘cause I hate that crap, you know? You know, the ‘let‘s-sit-at-an-outside-cafe‘ and smoke unfiltered cigarettes and have another mocha and talk about how ‘I‘m-an-artist-and-nobody-understands-me‘ kind of bullshit. I mean Jeez Louise, that stuff irritates me to no end." "Ok, now I need another mocha, dammit. Waiter!" Dexter cracks me up. |

| The Offspring – Mota Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Gobo hit it spot on. It shows how bad of a life you will have if you let drugs become your life, if you NEED drugs. | |
| The Offspring – Totalimmortal Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I know some covers that are better than the originals: All Along the Watchtower was originally by Bob Dylan and then Jimi Hendrix covered it. Bob Dylan Himself said he liked Jimi's version better. There is also a song called America by Paul Simon and the band Yes turned it into a awesome 10 minute long version with amazing instrumentals, I believe it is better than the original. | |
| The Offspring – Conspiracy Of One Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's so cool that dexter writes about some of their songs. It's like he wants to have a personal relationship with his fans through his music. | |
| Weezer – The World Has Turned And Left Me Here Lyrics | 16 years ago |

| Weezer – Tired Of Sex Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| He is tired of sex that has no meaning/feeling behind it. | |
| Weezer – Across The Sea Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I like the first two Weezer albums the best because there is so much feeling put into them. It seems like Rivers is holding back in all of the other albums. My favorite albums are the ones where the artists really put a part of themselves into their music. | |
| De La Soul – I Am I Be Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is my favorite de la song. I love the beat and the lyrics are so deep and honest. But ya patobrien, Dove is usually hard to understand but this is even harder to understand. Sucks that there are no comments on any of de la soul's songs, I have the hardest time understanding most of their songs. |
