I have a slightly different take on this song (which is one of my fav's). I think it is about a relationship on the brink... the guy is an Ass and he has somewhat of a history of failing to stand up for what he cares for. So i think it's (the relationship and its problems) all come to a head and she has left. True to form, he knows exactly where she is likely to be (the movies) but he spends his time talking himself out of doing anything about it. I believe that if he was 'another fool' (someone smarter than he is) and he went out looking for her (just like the end of some romance movie) she would take him back, she is hoping he will fight for her... for them. but his defeatist attitude is stopping that from ever happening. |
