I think it's about isolation. He just stays away (out in the winter, where you won't make it). But he can't depend on himself entirely, he's maybe a broken soul(child?) and is unable to spread his wings against the sky (facing the world). He's to young to handle the big scary world on his own. He needs his friends but now he can't reach them because he's to distanced now by his isolation. I don't know. All I know is that I love the lyrics and the guitarwork. Really sad and melancholic. I can relate to this. Beautiful! |

| He is just wondering about the diversity of other creatures than mankind, and the mysteries/knowledge they carry with them which we can never fully understand. I really like the idea for the lyrics because it seems like we forget to wonder and reflect about our beautiful surroundings. | |

| Birds are often used as metaphors for freedom and happiness. And watching a bird, knowing that you will never be/brake free just makes you sad everytime, so it becomes a burden. I don't know | |
