This song in particular speaks to me because I can be overly arrogant and ignoring my flaws and my husband is helping me see them and work on them. | I am a huge fan of D/C, and was disappointed in this track. Christianity is a terrible disease to humanity, and to see Chris perpetuate it is very disappointing. He can do so much better...and so can many of you. | |

This song reminds me of my ex He was emotionally abusive and tried to manipulate and shelter me, but I was in love with him anyways for a long time...but it wasn't really love it was just that he made himself out to be the greatest thing in the world...and even though my rational mind could see that I still wanted to see the person I missed...the one that I met. I still miss him sometimes but I'm much better off without him constantly bringing me down...I'm healing and I have my best friend by my side helping me along the way...who I've "secretly" been in love with for forever....and now he's throwing hints that he wants to date me which really excites me. |

| Romeo and Juliet is well noted as one of the deepest love and passion stories of all time. Regardless of how the actual story ends, Taylor took bits and pieces from that story and turned it into a pretty song. I knew of stories of Romeo and Juliet from childhood and didn't find out until High School that they both died in the end. Romeo and Juliet are household names...unlike some of the other stories that are quoted here. She simply took something that she knew (and something she knew everyone else would know) and turned it into a song. Why do you people have to be so critical??? | |

I also noticed Tuesday came up quite a bit lol...though not in this song. Very well explained by the way...this is exactly how I feel sometimes about my ex and the guy I might be getting with now. I don't feel like this all the time but I think about it every now and then. |

This song, even though it wasn't written about a break up...reminds me of me and my ex. I listened to it over and over again...because everything was (and still is at times) so complicated with us. "And we know it's never simple, never easy Never a clean break, no one here to save me You're the only thing I know like the back of my hand..." Even though he and I didn't work out and I know now that he's certainly not the best one for me I still miss him sometimes...this one and "The Way I Loved You" is another one. |

They would if people weren't so fickle...and if there weren't so many ways to meet new people. Don't get me wrong, the internet is a fabulous thing, but it doesn't close you in as much. I have a boy I've known since I was 6 and he's a bit older than me...a little over six months. I still talk to him and I think he is still in love with me but I don't feel quite the same way about him...I look at him more like a brother than anything...that's why I had to break up with him the last time we dated 5 years ago...and we haven't dated since but like I said I still talk to him. |

I stumbled upon this song recently but I've been in love with my best friend for 6 years...just we were never single at the same time. I tried to pretend that I wasn't in love with him but it didn't work out too well. Now I'm so close to having him I don't know what to think but he still has feelings his ex (who is still in high school) who cheated on him and threw stuff at him and cheated on him all the time. Why he is still in love with her I will never know. I'm long out of high school (over 6 years now) but the analogies are symbolic to me, I never was all that preppy in high school and that certainly hasn't changed...it seems she is but how she is that kind of person is beyond me because insanity just radiates from her. We actually dated back in high school and just stayed friends afterwards...I was silly and broke up with him for someone else but I wouldn't change that because I wouldn't have had the experiences I had if I hadn't done what I done. I still want him back though...and he totally knows how I feel and he has feelings for me too...similar but not the same...it's difficult to explain lol. Believe it or not he's the one who showed me this song. I like Taylor Swift and her music (even though it makes me feel old because she is a few years younger than me lol). But I recognize talent and she certainly has it. Invisible is another good song...it seems to suit our situation even better but I like this one too. |
