Yeah, I agree. I mean, I'm a christian, but I'm seriously tired of people assuming that every song is about a spiritual relationship and denouncing the interpretations of everyone else. But I agree with what you said about the line where it says "don't know what you're made of 'til... and suddenly changes," but I think it also means finding out what you yourself are made of, because I was kinda going through an interesting relationship with a girl that had just started and it changed dramatically in an instant and it was a complete shock to me. I kind of found out what I was made of because I threw me all off for a whole week; I couldn't concentrate on anything and I just wanted to break down. Turns out I was made of female reproductive organs because I felt like a total pussy. |

I agree too! I think it's mostly because I'm kind of in this situation myself at the moment. I listened to this song this morning and that's exactly the way it hit me; like am I the only one who feels this way toward the person or is it mutual. |

Maybe he just has skeletons in his closet. Who doesn't? Maybe he wants to tell her something in his past that he knows might make her upset. I think it can have any number of meanings but something that hit me is the line "What if it makes you lose faith in me, and what if it makes you question every moment you cannot see?" I feel like it's easy to wonder the way someone close to you will act when they aren't around you, whether you let it affect you or not. The only part I don't understand is the part after that where he says "What if it makes you crash and you can't find the key?" Does anyone know what he means by that? But yeah I definitely agree. He has so much power and emotion in his voice in this song; it makes it twice as good. Probably my favorite song on the album because of that. |
