I DID run up the hill and I have finally made it to the top. I think I had a 5 month cyber-affair (to the day) with Kate Bush. I know my ex-bf-bf was with me at least part of the time. He and I shared something special in real life. Then we shared some crazy stuff in the fantasy land of "Cyberville". On our journey there were Kings, Queens, Sultans, Wolf-Dogs, Ogres, Eunichs, Children, Cats, Mice, Midgets and Babies and much, much more. It was a freakin' fairytale from hell! Oh, it wasn't all bad. Don't get me wrong. We had lots of fun part of the time. But, what I'll always remember about my friendship with him are the good parts from real life. We had our moments, pal. I think the king in this song had someone special in his life. At one time they were friends (maybe more) and they meant something to each other. Sadly, they had to go their separate ways. Although she missed him, she was living her life just fine without him. Then one day he devised a plan and decided to "sell her out". And she thought the world of him. |

I agree with you and like your comparison to The Weakness In Me. But, never would I cheat on someone simply because they cheated on me. That kind of eye for an eye BS is reallly sad. Especially if they had apologized for their mistake. I guess there are some people out there who enjoy raking others over the coals. |

Women.. There are women who are attractive and feminine, by nature, on the outside. SOME of them are even shockingly beautiful, interesting and good on the inside. I have many friends like this. Beautiful through and through. I am sure there are men and women who feel threatened by them, simply because they are pretty, smart, fun to be with, etc.. Some insecure people would be jealous, sadly. Then there are women who are more like men on the outside. Many of them are good people on the inside. But sometimes, if a woman is less attractive on the outside, it makes her insides rotten. I think we all need to work at inner beauty, no matter what nature bestowed us. |

I completely agree with you! And all is right with the world. I don't believe the young girl is heart broken because she would know that the older guy belongs with his older "girl". They were meant for each other. The younger girl probably has a younger guy, anyway. That's how it should be. I think this older guy wanted the younger girl and TRIED HARD to break her heart. His gf was involved with the plan to try and hurt the younger girl. In fact, his gf probably came up with the plan because she has more balls than he does. She "wears the pants". BTW, she doesn't have 1/2 the charm, smarts or good looks as the younger girl and manipulated her bf into making really poor choices. Some of which he may or may not regret in the future. But his consolation prize is a lifetime with a cold, bitchy and unattractive woman. I LOVE this song!! |
