This song to me represents a child being abused; also the loss of innocence. There are a lot of references to symbolic childlike items such as trains and sewing machines. There is also reference to a home and pictures on walls and furniture that is now gone.. this could represent the end of a home, one torn apart by the event. The blood and tears is an obvious and chilling reference to the act that occurred. Parents often say things like they only meant well, and that its all for the best in situations of child abuse. |

you know, ithink that your synopsis was accurate. i thought it was her saying he was saying goodnight and going, but its almost like shes talking to herself and advising both us and herself as she was at that time to just leave the situation before you get hurt. |

i believe this is a song about an unrequited first crush. she says "say goodnight and go" because the guy with whom she "gets along with so well" and "who is so cute" says goodnight and goes home each night they see eachother doesn't feel about her like she feels about him. |
