| Dog Fashion Disco – Toothless Dream Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Dreaming that you are losing your teeth is supposed to mean that you are losing your status or strength. Maybe this is about having no one to fall back on since he doesn't believe in a higher being, and feeling powerless being surrounded by these people. Not sure if it's relevant to this context, but "vampires" are also a term used to described people who suck the life out of you (not blood necessarily). |

| Dog Fashion Disco – The Magical Band Of Fools Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Maybe not the entire picture, but from what I see in the lyrics it states a couple things. I think it says that they've pretty much got cult status, the little green men may refer to the collection of rabid fans that go to great lengths to see them live over and over. Only fools believe they won't get fooled again, referring to themselves as fools... I think that may be related to record dealings. At the time they switched labels. |

Aside from the drug reference, I think it's about that point in life, usually teenage years where your 'eyes' truly open for the first time, and from then on, you see everything differently. (Ever had an existential crisis?) |

| Dog Fashion Disco – Siamese Fever Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I think the Siamese twin is actually more of a metaphor for your torn conscious, the classic 'devil & angel' sitting on your shoulder. The devil loves you - so does jesus christ (the decision you have to make, you can't have both.) I don't know if there was a particular decision in mind when writing this, but it can be applied to anyone in that situation. Also, scissor homicide - would be suicide, I think is the fact that no matter how much you'd like to pick one and kill the other, you can't, the conscience remains. |

Most of the comments here fill in the whole picture. This song was written with the old show Farm Club in mind, that let underground bands a chance to be heard on tv. This is where System of a Down got a good amount of exposure, and in return helped Dog Fashion Disco in theirs. DFD got the chance to be on Farm Club, but they ended up being cut into the show's outro/roll credits and it was cut-and-paste verses of the song, not to completion... "Butchered my art, and only to save you a dollar." But in general you can see a discontent with the Hollywood and surrounding scenes, being so superficial fueled by money, not emotion. A side project of DFD, Polkadot Cadaver has a song that also hooks into this theme again "Bring Me the Head of Andy Warhol." If you haven't heard them, and like DFD, you are missing out. |

This song is actually about a close fan of theirs who committed suicide. I forgot his name, but I know he was from the west coast somewhere (Washington/Oregon maybe?) It's explained in the liner notes for their last release "Beating a Dead Horse to Death... Again" |
