The song is about how God failed him and how he lost his faith. just know you're not as smooth as you think o god can you feel my pain I tried and I tried but he never listened It further goes to explain how he will expose the truth of "gods lies" to everyone by burning the church downn to he he refers to as "your house of lies" and. The the phrase seven hours refers to gods number and I'm guessing to how long it will take to fulfill his plans. This is actually a sad song in my opinion he went through a lot of hurt in his life to make his views this way. I hope this helps!! :) then |

theres no way. interesting approach but no, he says im not real i was never born God is real, and he created all of us. this song is from the perspective of an aborted child I am forever alive, I hook my heart to my eyes, I reach from birth just to die, I keep the devil inside i grow him in me. I think my heart could receive it, Cheap imposter where you heading, Thank you my love would you believe me, Thank you my love would you be listening. But so much comes out of my mouth it's burning me empty Hes obviously speaking of himself, hes saying how he was created just to be killed (aborted) and if you read the lyrics to the rest of the album, he implies that he knows his mothers intentions and knows what "shes feeding" him, there fore the line "i keep the devil inside, i grow him in me" is refferering to the anger and hate hes gained for his unsung unheard existence, and he blames possibly god and definately his parents for it. The Devil is referring to the hate im speaking of. The line " so much comes out of my mouth and its burning me empty" means that he has a voice and words he wants to say to his parents, but no one can hear him, so he screams and yells for help until hes "burned empty" This song is not about god at all. in fact, this album has references to god and the devil, and it seems that he was also confused in his faith. but my point is the song and album is about abortion, an "elegy to the unborn" :D |
