Try not to put me into the stereo typical christian category, as i do agree with you. Most christians piss me off also, i argue with wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more christians on this topic than non-believers. Most christians tend to be ignorant sheep and dont know why they believe in god, most probably wouldnt if they hadnt been raised that way. I have played with occult and seen things that i wish i never had. Thats where logic meets my faith; if there is evil, super-natural evil, there must be a supernatural good. And if you really think about science and "reality" over creationism, they both are completely impossible. With science, you have everything came from nothing, and from creationism, you have everything was made from nothing by some dude that never was created, has always been, and never will end. I constantly struggle to believe in god, my girlfriend recently turned her back on him. And understand her decision, it hurts, but i understand that the feeling of there being no god. Now, you're probably wondering why i chose "christianity", my reason still lies in logic. Because this is basically the only "belief" that says god is a DAD and acts like it. Not catholicism that basically tells you that youre going to hell no matter what because you cant be perfect. Salvation by works. Now, as for the part you quoted me on, i wasnt refering to any fact or even saying god existed, i was just pointing out that the person that wrote "unanswered" believes in what hes singing about. Someone above said something about cursing unicorns. Same idea. You dont spend your time thinking these things and hating something that doesnt exist, unless you actually have something wrong mentally, which even if you do, you probably still believe in it. Theres a famous quote, which im too lazy to find the exact quote and author/writer/whatever, but it says "the greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is christians, who acknowledge jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle, that is what an unbelieving world simple finds unbelievable." This is what pisses me off about most christians. I have my own way of showing what i believe "believing" really is. I am goth, i do hate people, i have cut, i listen to satanic metal, i swear, have done many things that are not "good", and i tell everybody that while i may be an extreme example(or maybe not depending on your outlook), god will forgive me and you do not need to be perfect to be a christian. Too any christians put emphasis on "being good". That fucking pisses me off so much. I have sat in so many small group meetings where they are discussing a bible verse for an hour or more, and im sitting in the corner, and everyone there knew i cut at the time and was struggling with my faith, and my gf at the time broke up with me, and they just continued discussing whatever because they did not know how to prioritize. They emphasize on trying to understand god, advance their faith a little more in their fairy tale world and dont take care of the real world problems staring them in the face. Finally, if you dont believe in god, you had better be right, doesnt matter if im wrong. (watch, ill get blasphemed for saying this by one of the stereotypical christians. To them; I know, its my struggle, shut up) Just so you know, im not hostile. as these things are hard to do over the internet. :) |

| not at all. same here and... to an extent... i agree with him.... i feel like telling god to hurt me sometimes to prove hes actually here. i listen to all kinds of anti-christian/god metal... and if you understand people, you will understand that they are just searching and god is silent.... i understand the people that turn their back.... it's more of a cry out... whether they want to admit it or not... no one really wants to burn in hell forever.... | |
