| The Temper Trap – Love Lost Lyrics | 15 years ago |

| Twin Atlantic – Audience and Audio Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song is awesome and so is Sam's accent. | |
| Bob Dylan – Masters of War Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I'm doing my term paper on anti-war songs from the 60s/70's and this song captures my attention the most out of all the songs I have researched this far. Dylan is quite the man and it takes balls to write a song as controversial as this. | |
| Circa Survive – Glass Arrows Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I totally agree. I liked green's vocals much more in on letting go but maybe they'll grown on me. | |
| The Antlers – Wake Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Wow. This is my first time listening to this album and I'm in awe. | |
| Envy on the Coast – Southern Comfort Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I found the twilight zone episode this is taken from and the line the doctor says is "What is the dimensional difference between beauty and something repellent?" The episode is actually pretty interesting if you want to see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bNolcQ2k74&feature=related I think they rerecorded the lines because the original voices are much different then the ones used in the track. |

| Envy on the Coast – Clean of You Lyrics | 15 years ago |

commendable effort mason! it's tough since even my physical copy did not come with a lyrical booklet (brand new much?) great song though and great way to end the album |
|
| Envy on the Coast – The Great American T-Shirt Racket Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I agree with Kelli. I also have heard that Brian writes alot of the songs not just Ryan. I don't think either of them 'hates' religion. I think EOTC made it quite clear in Lucy Gray in tracks like "If God Smokes Cheap Cigars" and "Vultures" that they have a problem with religion trying to change people and being forced onto people. | |
| Envy on the Coast – Made of Stone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think this song is about growing up having religion forced upon you and having the church's beliefs carved into you like a stone. But as the song progresses it seems like the narrator loses his faith and realizes that the clergy are the ones "made of stone". "I'll wear the crown if you say that it fits You say my head has grown but it fits through the door"-- not agreeing w/ the church but going along w/ it "Yeah they would stone me in my sleep I learned to stare the way that he did The way that Jesus watched his sheep I do this to breathe into the choir" -- 'they' referring to the church/clergy imposing their beliefs onto him |

| Envy on the Coast – Clean of You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| there's a hidden track called "just south of heaven" starting at 6:48 | |
| Envy on the Coast – Like I Do Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| love ryan's vocals in this song! the meaning is very ambiguous to me at this point. | |
| Envy on the Coast – Southern Comfort Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| this is song is great, haven't decided on the meaning yet. The recording fits the song well though. | |
| Envy on the Coast – Laugh Ourselves To Death Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
not sure but I think this is a stab at their record company and other bands for being motivated by their cupidity for money instead of simply the music. "I could drown all our money, All our money, all our money And broke and free Bet I'd make you sing From the crow's nest Spit on the rich" -- saying how they are in it for the music not the wealth "Bus driver, get me out of here We can't live in a house that's built on dollars" --wanting to get out of their record deal perhaps? |

| As Tall as Lions – I'm Kicking Myself Lyrics | 15 years ago |

|
| Motion City Soundtrack – Stand Too Close Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song is so catchy, I wouldn't say it's my favorite song on the album but it's for sure my favorite to jump around to. | |
| The Wonder Years – Buzz Aldrin: The Poster Boy For Second Place Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i love this song. | |
| fun. – I Wanna Be the One Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I wanna be the one to put it in a song Take every single tear for all the world to hear I wanna be the one to put it in a song and make it last forever reminds me of some shakespeares sonnet 18 "When in eternal lines to time thou growest: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. " both of them talk about having a loved one live through the acts through their poety/ song |
|
| Envy on the Coast – Starving Your Friends Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The power of ryan's voice in this song is what really captures me. I can't wait until Low Country comes out. | |
| Brand New – Secondary Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Wow..i was listening to your favorite weapon today and it's so weird to think these are the same guys who brought us daisy. They've come so far! | |
| I See Stars – Where The Sidewalk Ends Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Great Song- I like how even though the songs don't have a serious, dramatic sound they are usually about a larger conflict or idea like faith | |
| Dear and the Headlights – Mother Make Me Golden Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is one of the songs I relate the most to off of the two songs. I sense an inspiration by the poem "nothing gold can stay" by robert frost. This song is one of my favorite because it's something that everyone can relate to but the way it is expressed in the song is personal and not cliche. | |
