| Mumford & Sons – Liar Lyrics | 16 years ago |

the pain of caring so much when the other person doesn't... even in the tone of his voice.. when he sings "you liar", it's so emotive, you can hear his frustration. you can also hear his dejection in parts too. the whole song sounds so genuine though and not at all contrived or whiney. it's one of those ones you want to listen to over and over. really beautiful song. |

| John Lennon – The Luck of the Irish Lyrics | 16 years ago |

wonderful, powerful lyrics. i'm glad there were huge figures who had the guts to scream and shout about the atrocities that went on here in northern ireland in the 70s. lennon's asking the english to put themselves in OUR shoes. "If you had the luck of the Irish You'd be sorry and wish you were dead" you couldn't get a more poignant opening line than that. thanks lennon, shame you weren't my era... but i respect you endlessly for this. |
