There aren't actually so few lyrics, like half the song is missing, maybe more |

I agree with the damaged relationship bit, but I'm not sure if it's getting at moving on. I think the "you" in the song has his own demons, which has lead to him cheating, while she lies to herself to keep things going. This wears on her, so eventually everything comes to a head when she says to heal it up. Really just another idea, I don't know which is right |

Fuck that, when Sappy was released as a b-side it was retitled Vorus Chorus Verse for whatever reason/"Hold it in your gut" is the official chorus, and Token Eastern Song is the official title. If call it something else your making shit up |

oh man, this album gets cooler and cooler the more i listen.
This track is pretty great/has some intervesting lyrics.
It doesn't seem too misleadimg, so I'd say it's about our (man's) futile attempts to control the world through technology, but in the end we just sort of hide ourselves from it.

I don't know how true this would be, but going off the assumption that Craig is sort of a lethargic/listless guy, I think it could be about not needing the past, and just living carefree/day to day. I dunno, mostly just trying to give another point of view to consider. |

| The Vines – Autumn Shade Lyrics

While the whole sadness thing makes sense, and the transition thing makes even more sense to me, I'd say it's more like lazyness. While I suppose this is not so consistent with autumn, I've always thought of shade as comfortable/it seems like what he lacks is the effort/motivation to move out into the sun, and so he spends his time sleepying/dreaming of it.
p.s.sounded better in my head |

Probably already been said somewhere, but reading all that just takes too long. So, yeah, while I think some people definitely came up with good points for drugs, I think it's probably more like a comparison then the point. Really, he is addicted to his relationship with Toby Vail. She was sort of his mentor for a while in the cool indy scene, but/therefore generally rejected his attempts at a more traditional relationship. And in her (i believe) more or less breakup note, she in fact wrote it is now my duty to completely drain you. Don't have time to explain more thoroughly right now, so yeah, there you go. Not really about heroin (which he didn't do much at this point) |

Quite correct/mega-well done sir. Though I think it was meant more universally, and not specifically about fame. More about just reaching the status and finding thats all you can live up to...As a note, they explain the song meaning in teh booklet for a Meatpuppets II re-release/this song really shouldn't be here at all since to look for the meaning you should be thinking meat puppets. |

So I havent read Catch-22, though I suppose I should. Anyhway, point is that I'd recently actually paid attention to all the lyrics in this song and more or less decided it was about being paranoid to delusional lengths. Is that somewhat inline with yous alls thoughts? |

From what I read (tough i don't member where mind you) it is in fact about, or inspired by I suppose, this group of young japanese girls who got money to follow radiohead around on tour by sleeping with wealthy business men, so I'd say your somewhat close(assuming this tale was true) |

Filmed the video with an uncompleted song that was like a minute or so shorter? That doesn't seem right. It seems more reasonable in ownpersonaldemons explanation.

I'd say your mostly right, though I don't think it's just about war. I think it's more so about the change in heart that came along with having kids. Cause at the start he's more just running away/hiding, but then it seems he gains the resolution for to rise up after staring into his little babies eyes and/or just having a baby. |
