Kasabian's Underdog is a great song for us to relate to. If somehow you're not a genius, you're always at the wrong end of a competition, Kasabian gives you a lil' tips on how to turn the tables. And shows what a great feeling to do so, too! But it isn't a plain simple thing to do."Kill me if you dare, Hold my head up everywhere, Keep myself right on this train" means you shouldn't be too afraid to lose, and give all you got instead. The great thing in It don't matter I won't do what you say You've got the money and the power I won't go your way And I can't take for the people They don't matter at all And I'll be waiting in the shadows 'Til the day that you fall is you won't give in no matter what those 'champs' throw at you. you'll swallow a bucket of insults if you have to. You'll fight not for the sake of yourself, but all the people that stood behind and support you all along. And waiting in the shadows is not a sucker punch, it's the place you're now at the eyes of those 'champs'. They don't even bother to acknowledge your existence. All and all, really is a great song. Juan Martin del Potro must've listen to this song a lot in 2009 US Open . |
