Your Pink Floyd and Beatles comparisons made me laugh out loud, literally. I completely agree that you can't compare Rush with Coheed and Cambria. The only thing I disagree with you on is Neil Pert. I just think he's second best to John Bonham from Led Zeppelin who is severly underrated. |

I tend to prefer the more optimistic version myself. I play this song for myself often on my bad days. I just like the "no one knows the trials she had" line. Some of the lines in this song really hit home, like the one you mentioned as well. |

This song was written for the US America's Yachting Cup. In 1983 the song for the cup (which Australia had a huge victory) was Land Down Under by Men at Work. This song was written in 1987 as the US's "fight song" to win the cup back.
I just always liked this song because it has a really happy tune; it puts me in a good mood. I came on here hoping someone had posted anything on what it was about, but no one did, so I did a little research for myself and decided to post it for anyone else. And to be honest I don't care much about the yachting cup, but I still love the song. |
