Love this song! The way i relate to it is with guys. For me im over the games and mind playing. It seems so simple, but isnt. We do all these certain things in hopes of finding partners that really end up draining you emotionally and physically. Esp. in college it's party party party, club club club...theyre hard to resist ("finding it hard to resist"), you always hope youre going to find a mate, longterm or for the night. And then you find yourself at a low party that you have no desire to be at and end up sleeping in late the next day, with a hangover..and you look around thinking "should've done better than this." It becomes a cycle of searching for what you're looking for. Doesnt have to be partys and clubs, in the music video he uses las vegas scenes, showing the downsides of wealth, gambling, one night stands, and links it to the beach and laughter. Thats what he wants- peace and happinness. Life is rushing by, thousands of ppl to choose from and so easy to look away from someone thats not perfect. When someone does come along we often don't want them to leave, and will literally do anything to have them I want someone to show me what Im looking for and in order to see, one has to show.--I could go on and on about this... lol |

I love this song! I had never even heard of knaan until I went to a Jason Mraz concert and he was the opener. I think this song is a reminder to not be so high-strung, anxious or angry.. just to take a minute and let things that are happening, happen. I think the lyrics "And every time I felt the hurtin' I felt the givin' gettin' me up off the wall" sometimes when you're feeling low or just not full on life, giving is a great way to lift you up, it doesnt have to be objects, more like love. |
