Awesome song.... Jerry said in a sit down on MTV that it was about a kind of ironic reflection on the fact that he's living in LA now even though in the past he never thought that he would. And how despite all it's faults it's physically a beautiful place and also a place where people come to realize their dreams. It definitely has a bit of a stoner vibe to it too, I think. Speaking of which... the above lyrics are incorrect in a couple places. Particularly "I walked these streets a creep in a fog" not "and I fall" And also it's "Tears that filled my bong" not "bowl". Anyway, not sure about everyone else, but I'm OCD in buying solid copies so those lyrics are from the actual CD booklet. You should own it... the artwork is freakin fantastic too. Just sayin'. | Dude...! Do you have any idea how long I've been trying to make out all the words on this one? Still stuff missing but you got more than I did... sweet. I love this track... I wish they kept Rules Of Evidence with this part in it on the digipak release. It kills. It's made for screaming along to. I love songs like this... a total stomper... but with lyrics that make you go wtf...? Righteous... fuckin incendiary... yet tongue and cheek...? Or not? Awesome. SS is the shit. Many thanks man. | |
