Your way off funeraldancer. Dave Mustaine said himself that this song is based on the speech Aragorn gave his troops before going off into battle. It's got nothing to do with drugs, the meaning is just simply "this day we fight!" |

While this song does generally just tell the story of a pirate like many other Alestorm songs...it does have a deeper meaning, beckoning the listener to not regret anything they've done. "And If I could go back and make my amends, I'd make all those mistakes again" Basically i take this song to mean that you shouldn't regret anything simply because what you've done and how you react to situations makes you who you are, and at the end of the day, no matter how you feel about it, if you were to go back and change something, for all you know that could greatly change who you are now. Everything you've done makes you who you are, and because of that you shouldn't regret anything. |
