Well i don't know, the only Mirror i know in Tolkien's Lord of the rings and the Silmarillion, was the mirror of Niena in the Valinor, and the mirror of Galadriel! I am sure that BG have an intention to put "mirror" in the song! My opinion is that in the mirror of galadriel you can see things that are, things that were and some things that has not yet come to pass! so "we" listeners listening the song is like looking in the mirror and see things, (in the song)! Or Mirror of Niena... Niena is a Vala of Compassion and grief, and sadness, and because the history of middle earth is really sad and sorrowfull, and you see all that looking through the mirror of NIena! |
