Someone earlier stated earlier that the whole album itself has a lot of political meanings what if this is just one of them.. The band could be referring to the "one thing" to a kind of socialist point of view on love this was referred to in a lot of media, a good example is V for Vendetta if everyone loved everyone then everyone will be set free. or "love will set you free" In the darkest part of you that you have ever seen In the smile of the child staring at the TV screen In the diary of a priest In the sheets that lie upon his bed Out there amongst the waves And inside your lover's head the ideology that had encouraged these ideas the most was communism, and the final revolutions which had happened about 20 years ago this year. its about revolution.. or at least how i see it. |
