I actually didn't think it was about a broken promise; to me it says that you cannot rely on the philosophy of others to see you through, you have to make your own path. No matter how educated someone is, their wisdom is just as empty and mortal as yours, and no better to guide you. "In a precious world of memories We find ourselves confined" meant that we are trapped in our state as an individual, and therefore what works for one of us will not work for all of us. So to me it says "Think for yourself". |
