Pink Floyd – Dogs Lyrics 14 years ago
The Line "Who was trained not to spit in the fan" has always stood out to me, here's my take on that partcular line because everyone else seems to have the meaning of the song yet people keep commenting on this line. Here's my 2 cents:

what would happen if you were to spit in a fan? it would most likely not reach it and blow back in your face yea? Well I reckon trained not to spit in the fan means they can basically do anything they want to others but they are taught to make sure their actions dont come back to hit them in the face.

Cause the song is basically about enforcing your (or the pigs) will on the rest of the animals, to do this they had to be be strong and crafty. I reckon the fan line is more about that, do what it takes, but make sure it dosn't come back to haunt you.

which as we all know by the end of the song, it does.

just my thoughts on it... absolutely loved this song along with the rest of the album. Ordered Animal Farm to check that out aswell. but those lyrics at the end are the perfect climax to 17 minutes of song writing genius:

who was born in a house full of pain,
who was trained not to spit in the fan,
who was told what to do by the man,
who was broken by trained personnel,
who was fitted with collar and chain,
who was given a seat in the stand,
who was breaking away from the pack,
who was only a stranger at home,
who was ground down in the end,
who was found dead on the phone,
who was dragged down by the stone

I think the lyrics speak for themselves and there is no particular hidden meaning. Would say that it deffinatley draws a parrallell to Ressurection, maybe not lyrically but I think the two of them do have some sort of connection.

They also seem to be playing the two of them next to each other on this live tour, going to the Garage in Glasgow tonight to see them, setlist from the manchester show looks really good, really hope they play this song.

I think this and powershifter are the best on the album.

Sonata Arctica – Zeroes Lyrics 16 years ago
have listened to this a good few times though and at first I thought it was an attack on goverment types who go to war, but send out troops to die without caring.

But I also think it may be about suicide bombers, written as a dig at the terrorists. Not sure, need another few listens but I think I'l kinda on the right path.
