I went to his concert and before this song he just said a couple things that really hit me. I had it recorded so i went back and this is what he said. He is so amazing. "There are lots of ways that people try to, I dunno like, escape their minds right. Like get intoxicated and some people ya know use drugs, some people use alcohol. But there is also Spiritual intoxication, like God intoxication. That never goes away, its more rich and more beautiful than any other out of thinking experience and its a different kind of wine. This is a song about trying to get drunk off that wine. " |

This song rings true to me in so many life obstacles. The line "Licking the same wounds"! is so strong. Sometimes you're making the same mistake over and over. "so How long will we continue to ride this sunken ship? Cuz I believe, yes, i believe, that we can find the surface. Even though it seems like this airplane is going down. Don't be afraid, it will all be okay; See there are plenty of parachutes to go around." there is always hope and it doesn't matter how long we have been riding the same sunken ship full of the same mistakes. We can find the surface. And he just comforts us, "Don't be afraid, it will all be okay" I needed this song in my life. It really opened my eyes that there is always a chance to become better. Love it. |

I love this song. I think Trevor's message in this is so perfect. "There's many roads and many paths that lead to you Some say their false but I believe all of them are true" I think he is just talking about God and life and everybody taking their own path to get there. Some people take different roads to get to the same place but just because they aren't on the same road as you doesn't mean they are lost or off course they are just taking their own way. If we all have the same common goal in mind it doesn't matter how you get there as long as you get there. "Are you made from magic? Are you made from wishful thinking? I'll keep on believing if you keep my boat from sinking We're both in this together" I think that is perfectly said. "Are you made from wishful thinking?" We may not know everything about him but the idea of God is so beautiful. Maybe He has just been made from wishful thinking but to step back and Say I believe in Him. No one wants to feel alone and I think this is really letting know we aren't alone. That says to me if God will just help me and keep me from sinking I'll keep believing in him and we are in this together. So cool. |
