I think that what she means is that something has occurred between her and a friend/family/significant other and she doesn't wish to talk about it. She wishes to be alone, and let's people know she is all right. She keeps to herself even when she know there is something going on, she chooses to deny it in order to keep her mask of assurance. And she finds comfort from that someone next to her.. she's not alone then. If you listen to the song, you can hear how she settles down, then get's back up and harder. She's fighting the struggle. |
