| Arcade Fire – Neon Bible Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| "Neon" Bible. I think it is the bible but the bible is often thought of as 'light' so is Christianity in general, so if this light is a fake, flashy light then the bible isn't truly light it's a false light. I think the song is even sung in a voice that reflects a sort of sorrow/mournfulness because this writing is supposed to be good but it spreads harm instead. 'a vial of hope' and a 'vial of poison' both look the same in the light (it's easy to give people the wrong vial). | |

This is about having a thing you love that you're very good at -- for her it's her talent of singing/writing and with any ability that makes you special or is unique and important on its own-- you feel like you have to 'sacrifice' it up to the world, share it with others who will take things from it. it's about having something that makes you feel very special and unique but that you also share with the world and once they take from it, you lose control over that. |

This is on the "Alice in Wonderland" soundtrack, and maybe it's a leap but I think the song could be about the white queen and the red queen. "Can't you see the faces melting as the sun rains from their eyes," (The obvious moat of heads in the movie) "go on and keep your head with the hearts that you left behind. look at yourself, look in the mirror, don't you see a lie? that you tell yourself again a thousand times. and the truth that makes us laugh will make you cry," |

I saw "Thirteen Days" today and thought of this song... "What did he say? / What is the answer?" -- when the Soviets were trying to make the Americans look bad during the Cuban Missile Crisis at the UN, Adlai went and challenged him, saying he wanted an upfront answer about whether not the soviets placed missiles in Cuba... "Evidence, Evidence, I've heard of it" -- The soviet ambassador says the Americans have no evidence, and Adlai pulls out the photographs... 1953- Adlai's loses after he ran for president. |

| Hollywood Undead – The Loss Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Usually people who kill themselves are in a lot of pain and feel like they can't carry on living. Yes, in some ways I agree that committing suicide is selfish (even though everyone says not to feel like it is) -- but sometimes people don't have anyone who cares about them, or doesn't even care about them enough to notice they are depressed | |

This song is about having a friend who kills him/her self. "Have you ever met a living legend, just a real friend who planned his end and where do I began you said it was pretend. And when the bullet went through it took more then just you, it took two it was you it was me and suddenly...... How can someone say they're helpless and then they act so selfish." This whole passage is describing that their friend was planning to kill himself, and how he felt half guilty because "it took more than just you" (you are not the sole cause of you're death) Then how can someone be "helpless" but then kill themselves? Because it contradicts itself (because people who kill themselves are often in a lot of pain and don't want to live anymore) |
